How to manage tiers, addons and variants

Tiers, addons, variants — this is where you decide what fans can buy, and for how much.

What this guide covers

Define what's for sale on an event: ticket tiers (categories, prices, quantities) and addons (extras), each with optional variants (sizes, options).

What you'll need

An event in your dashboard.

Where to go

Your Events list → open the event → its edit page.

Step by step

  1. Open the event's edit page.
  2. Add a tier: name, price, quantity/inventory. Repeat per category (e.g. General, VIP).
  3. Optionally add addons (e.g. merch, parking) with prices.
  4. Give addons variants where options matter (size/color/etc.).
  5. Update or delete tiers/addons/variants as sales progress.

And then?

Tiers appear on the public event page with live availability; buyers can combine tickets and addons (up to 10 units per item per order) in checkout.

Good to know (rules & limits)

  • Deleting a tier with sold tickets impacts reporting; retire rather than delete where possible.
  • Inventory is enforced at order creation inside a database transaction — overselling is prevented.

If something goes wrong

  • Tier shows sold out — inventory exhausted; raise quantity if you release more.
  • Addon not appearing — ensure it's attached to the event and has stock/price set.

How accurate is this?

Verified from source: tier/addon/variant CRUD routes and transactional inventory checks in OrderController. Exact form fields need screenshots.
