How to oversee, edit, and refund orders

When organizers or buyers need a hand, this is your toolkit: search, inspect, edit, refund, and everything in between.

What this guide covers

Full platform oversight of every order: search, inspect, edit (with audit trail), refund, resend confirmations, export, and — as a last resort — delete.

What you'll need

Platform admin access.

Where to go

Admin → Orders (plus the complimentary tickets view).

Step by step

  1. Search orders across the platform; filter and export for analysis (checkout stats give funnel metrics).
  2. Open an order for full detail (items, buyer, payment, tickets).
  3. Edit an order when a buyer needs correction — every change lands in the audit log.
  4. Use Toggle organizer edit to grant/deny the organizer's ability to edit that specific order.
  5. Refund through the original processor; Resend confirmation for missing buyer emails.
  6. Delete only for test/erroneous orders — it's destructive and audited.

And then?

Edits and refunds propagate to organizer reporting and payout balances. Audit logs record admin identity and changes.

Good to know (rules & limits)

  • Deletion is irreversible — prefer refunds/cancellations.
  • Refunds settle on the processor's timeline; balances update after reconciliation.

If something goes wrong

  • Buyer reports double charge — check the order's payment records in detail view before refunding; only refund confirmed duplicates.
